Loss of innocence to me means that you are "coming of age". This means that an event happened that effected you either in a negative or a positive way. Losing your innocence happens to everybody at one point in time, some later then others.
When my great grandmother was too old to take care of herself my grandmother, Nancy(We call her Nannygoat) which is her daughter took her in. Before and during Little Nanny(my great grandmother) came in to live with her, she did not have a job and was retired. During that time Nannygoat would do everything for her and wanted to get her out and about because she hadn't been doing much. While they were out Little Nanny had a stroke and was put into Hospice after a week or two in the hospital. She then died a couple days later in Hospice. After that happened she got a job working and taking care of people that can't take care of themselves either and she loves doing it.
